What is the "safety power switch" for?
The safety power switch is the "on/off" switch for the jump starter. After all cables are connected, you can turn on the switch and this will supply the power needed to jump start your vehicle. When you are done with jumpstarting the vehicle, always put the safety switch in the off position.
What is the life span of Topin jump starters?

Is the battery inside replaceable?
Yes, it is. You may purchase a new replacement battery from www.topinbattery.com or our exclusive agent/distribute in your location. Here are the specifications to insure that you purchase the correct battery for the Jump starter: Spiral wound Sealed Lead Acid Battery -Rechargeable 12-Volt, 8 Amp Hour.

Where can I buy a replacement AC charger?
You can purchase the AC adapter from you local electronic retail store. Here are the specifications that are you will need.

If the jump starter is fully charged out the box, do I still need to charge the unit for the full 20 hours?
If the unit arrives fully charged from the store/website you purchased it from, please charge the unit for 10 hours instead of the full 20 hours for the first charge.
How long should I charge my topin jump starter?
For the first charge, please charge the unit for the full 20 hours and do not unplug or use the unit until it is fully charged. However, please be sure to not to over charge the unit. For any charge after the initial charge, please charge the unit for 10 hours and be careful not to over charge the unit.
What happens if I exceed 20 hours?
We suggest that you not exceed 20 hours because overcharging the unit will decrease the lifespan of the battery. It is okay to forget once in a while but constantly overcharging the power dome will damage the internal battery.
Can I leave the jump starter on the charger all the time?
No, you will be overcharging the unit if you do so. This will decrease the lifespan of the battery and void the limited warranty.
.How often should I recharge the unit if I am not using it?
It should be recharged every 3-6 months regardless of use to keep the battery in pristine condition.
.I have not used my jump starter in 1 year. Now it does not want to hold its charge, what do I do?
With seal lead acid battery, when the battery is completely drained it takes a great deal for it to regain its charge and hold the charge. You may need to leave the jump starter on the charger and let it sit for a few days. Sometimes it takes up to 2 days for the jump starter to charge and hold its charge.
If I use my jump starter to jump starting my vehicle, do I need to recharge the unit?
Here is a chart that will give you a good idea as to when you need to charge your unit:

A green light indicates the battery has a voltage≥12.7V and it is safe to operate.
A blue light indicates the battery has a voltage 12.2V--12.7V and it needs to be recharged.
A red light indicates the battery has a voltage≤12.2V and must be recharged immediately.

2. Any failure that results from an accident, purchaser’s abuse, neglect or failure to operate product in accordance with instructions in the manual.
Responsibilities of warrantor under this warranty?
Repair or replace, at warrantor’s option, products or components which are defective, have malfunctioned and/or failed to conform within duration of the warranty period.
what should I do for covering this warranty?
1. Provide dated proof of purchase or maintenance records.
2. Reasonable care when using /maintaining of the products as described in the manual.
How long does it take for repair or replacement under this warranty?
Repair or replacement will be scheduled and serviced according to the normal work flow at the servicing location, and depending on the availability of the replacement parts. This Limited Warranty gives specific legal rights, and it may have other rights which vary from country to country.
Can I return my product for a refund?
No. TOPIN cannot refund products. As a manufacturer, we can only offer replacements for defective units covered under warranty. If you would like to inquire about credit or a refund, please contact the company/retail store where you made the original purchase.
